Victorian Canine Association
Dogs Victoria (formerly the Victorian Canine Association or VCA) is the governing body for canine registrations, registered canine events and insurance for clubs like Central Highlands Working Gundog Club. In order for our club to operate, we must be affiliated with Dogs Victoria, and submit a report for every trial we conduct. All competitors also must be a registered member, and their dogs must also be registered with Dogs Victoria. Dogs Victoria, in turn, are affiliated with the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC), and it is this body that governs the "Rules for the Conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs".
Field & Game Australia Inc
Field & Game Australia Inc (FGA) is a voluntary organisation formed by hunters, for the purpose of working with goverment and the community to manage and sustain Australia's wetlands and game habitats for future generations. FGA has, and continues to be, a strong supporter of our sport, and our club, and has been providing support and sponsorship for many years.
Australian Working Retriever Central
Australian Working Retriever Central (AWRC) is an online bulletin board set up by The Working Gundog Club of NSW for those interested in retrieving trials accross Australia. Many triallers (and prospective triallers) use this forum as a means of communicating with others about a whole range of topics surrounding retrieving trials, including training methods, trials, rule changes etc. This site also contains links to most scheduled events around Australia, as well as the results of those trials.
