Activities for Gundogs
There are two types of competitive events in trialling, retrieving and field trials.
Retrieving trials simulate natural retrieving situations as closely as possible, and the dogs are tested and scored according to how well they complete the retrieve.
Field trials are based on a real situation, where handlers must find and shoot real game, and the dogs are tested under these conditions and scored accordingly.
